With over 80 miles of coastline, the central coast has an awesome variety of beaches to chose from.  Sun yourself on warm sandy beaches.  Enjoy watching the elephant seals near San Simeon, or drive your car or ATV on the sandy dunes of Grover Beach, Oceano and Pismo Beach.  Please visit our front desk for driving directions and weather forecasts for the beaches listed below.

Pismo Beach- Visitors enjoy a myriad of activities including golfing, bicycling, walking through the Monarch Butterfly Grove, tennis, horseback riding, scuba diving, bowling, hiking, miles of beautiful and clean beaches, exploring tide pools, coves, and caves. Enjoy the 1200-foot Pismo Pier for sightseeing, walking, fishing and seeing the great sunset.

Morro Bay- Morro Bay State Park features lagoon and natural bay habitat. The bay’s most prominent landmark is Morro Rock. The park has opportunities for sailing, fishing, hiking, and bird watching. A visit to the Central Coast of California is not complete without a stop at the Museum of Natural History in Morro Bay State Park. The museum offers activities for all ages: nature walks, exhibits, lectures, puppet shows, videos, docent led tours and special events

San Simeon- Within the boundaries of Hearst San Simeon State Park are; Santa Rosa Creek Natural Preserve and San Simeon Natural Preserve. Santa Rosa Creek Preserve is an area of approximately 40 acres, which includes valuable riparian forests and coastal wetlands, that provide habitat for endangered Tidewater Goby. San Simeon Natural Preserve consists of approximately 365 acres of vast wetlands, riparian areas, and several undisturbed native plant communities including unique mima mound topography. The Natural Preserve is also the wintering site for monarch butterfly populations.

Grover Beach- Diverse recreational opportunities are offered in and around Grover Beach. Activities like dune hiking, fishing, clamming, golfing, horseback riding, wine tasting and off-road vehicle riding are just some of the activities awaiting your arrival.

Avila Beach- Avila enjoys the friendliest climate on California’s Central Coast. You’ll find that same small-town charm you remember, along with the warm sunny microclimate and the same beautiful beaches, but now they’re surrounded by world-class amenities. Great restaurants, shops and stores are waiting for your discovery.

Cayucos- Located on cool, colorful Estero Bay on the Central California Coast, Cayucos is a complete resort providing relaxation away from the heat and smog of the California valley, inland, and metropolitan areas.

Oceano- Oceano Dunes Beach is one of the most popular in the state of California, with towering sand dunes that are very popular with off-roaders. It's also the only beach in the state where you can drive vehicles on the beach.
